Our Strained Kefir begins as traditionally fermented kefir, cultured using kefir grains containing a diverse mix of bacteria and yeasts. After fermentation, it is gently strained to create a thick, creamy texture while retaining kefir’s signature lively, lightly effervescent character.
Compared to yogurt, strained kefir has a broader cultured profile and a more complex flavour, with subtle natural fizz and layered acidity. Straining concentrates the body while keeping it lighter and more fluid than yogurt cream cheese.
This spoonable kefir can be enjoyed straight from the jar, layered into breakfast bowls, or used in both sweet and savoury applications.
